Requests for funding from Réunir Réussir (R2)

To obtain financial support from Réunir Réussir (R2), each application must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. It must be presented by a regional organization that is recognized for its work in the area of student retention and that has a resource person in charge of coordinating efforts to keep students in school.
  2. It must include a support plan drawn up by one of the Réunir Réussir (R2) Territory Coordinators.
  3. It must contain an action plan that specifically targets young people under 20 years of age.
  4. It must be part of a regional, intersector initiative that includes the five following elements:
    • Preparing a current status report (diagnostic portrait) describing what young people and their families need to fight dropping out and keep students in school.
    • Constructing a common vision of problems within the region and propose possible solutions.
    • Determining priorities for action and designing pertinent strategies for change.
    • Drawing up a regional and local action plan in which partners are prepared to invest tangible resources-financial, human or material.
    • Providing measurement instruments to continuously evaluate the region's progress during the implementation phase with respect to inter-sector mobilization, rate of graduation and the fight to keep students in school.

Please also note the following:

  • In order to receive support, any local project must be part of a multisector regional initiative. Local projects may be included in requests for funding from an IRM if they are an integral part of the regional strategy. Local organizations interested in obtaining support are encouraged to contact their regional IRM.
  • Support from Réunir Réussir (R2) may not be substituted for existing funding programs.
  • Projects, activities or resources aimed at acquiring or developing infrastructures are not eligible for funding from Réunir Réussir (R2).
  • Financial support provided by Réunir Réussir (R2)is intended to complement regional investments; it is under no circumstances to be considered a project's main source of financing.
  • Decisions regarding all requests for funding submitted to Réunir Réussir (R2) are made by the Board of Directors.
